Hello,

New to G's and i am just finishing of a project "just got to paint it in the warmer days of next year now. I am about to go for an mot and I have noticed that my engine has a lot of movement. It looks like the engine mounts could be the issue. Does anyone have a 460 with the OM 603.912 so i can get some idea if i am missing any additional mounts.

Many thanks

Rich

Re: 460 with retrofit OM 603

G wagon and T1 van engine mountings are all similar wedge type , they fail because the thru bolt metal bush [at 90'] is stepped , and therefore has too small a surface area to support the load from the rubber wedge , simply fabricate a new  full length metal bush with no step , firm fit [+WD40] back in [use a vice or w.h.y.] = lifetime repair.
