May I be so bold as to ask the GWOA expert opinion on this vehicle and value for money?

I have read the buying advice, but you all seem to be able to identify potential issues from a photo.

Not sure what is meant by sport line wheels ? Looks original MB G wagen wheels ...

Can't see recaros seats there ! But plain MB seats

Looks a clean truck but would need to be looked at closely ..

Hope this helps

Re: 460 280GE on Carandclassic

those fuel consumption claims:  a) as Peter points out the relevance depends on the annual mileage, b) a 280GE will consume in the UK between 12mpg and 16 mpg (constant 50 mph) but c) that compares to fuel consumption for a 300DT (M606 engine) of between 16 mpg and 28 mpg.  The real difference between the engines is higher torque of the M606, it is an engine the G deserves.  For £8.5k you will not be able to buy a 300DT.

I never found my 280 as bad as everyone makes out, averaged about 19mpg everywhere. That G looks clean but I'd take someone experienced with you to go over it!
