A 1990, LWB, 463?????

can anyone help? I have found another g for sale in Azerbaijan. It is clearly a 463 by the fuel filler and the front grill. It is a 6 cylinder diesel(same as mine). I got a good look under the bonnet and the name plate on the bulkhead states it is a 463. It thought the 463 model didn't start production till 1992? On the car papers, it states it is 1990.
Can anyone tell me how to check up on this
The chassis number is WDB 46332817071635

Please help!!

463 were on sale from 1990 here in germany.
the vin says:

463 328 17 071635

463 clear (i guess)
328 diesel(3) stationwagon(2) lwb(8)
17 LHD

071635 running number of produced cars (that is a kinda funny number, and i wouldn't take it to serious)

Let's see.

According to my records, the last chassis produced in August 1990 was # 71,617.

The last chassis produced in September was # 72,531.

A total of 914 Gs were made in September 1990. Assuming that they did not work during weekends, the factory made 45.7 Gs per day during that month.

Given the proximity of the chassis you're after (# 71635) to the one made the last day of August (#71617) (just 18 Gs between), I would bet that it was made on the morning of Monday the 3 September 1990.

So there you go. It is certainly one of the first 463s made. But RHD 463 Gs were only put in production in 1991 (not 1992).
