Hi all,
I've been lurking for a few months now, but have only now registered. I took posession of my Red '86 Lwb 280GE Auto over the summer from my father as he didn't need it anymore. It's been used for towing a 1927 Rolls Royce to shows and weddings over the last few years and has done very little mileage. In fact she has less than 70,000 miles on the clock and mechanically is running sweetly. My main problem is the bodywork, and I hope you guys will give me plenty of help in the future, cos I'm going to need it! For a start the back door is hanging off. Although I've already had a good read about that on the site.

After driving it for a few months, I'd like to make a few observations:
OMG it's heavy on fuel (Petrol)!
It's a real head turner. Land Rover drivers are always curious and smile when you go past.
She sounds great!
I don't think I've ever felt so chuffed driving around in any other vehicle I've driven (I drove a Hummer last summer and she aint a scratch on the G).

Oh and I really cannot wait to get her a just a little bit mucky!
