The naive boy sent to buy a cow who bought the magic beans

I'm the original ageing "Jack and the beanstalk." I'm a 56year-old ingenue who was searching E-bay with money in his pocket to find a vehicle that would tow a caravan as well as cope with two mongrel dogs. I came upon a 1983 G-Wagen. Thinking I was being cunning I waited to the last minute to post my bid and for my sins I won the auction. "Buy in haste - regret at leisure" is the saying. I have now found the folowing problems : broken headlight, rear wash/wiper, door winder, front washers, grumbling prop shaft, etc and the five pot, three litre, diesel engine struggles to get up the hills with a caravan behind it.

I'm now thinking of throwing good money after bad by spending £2,000 on a turbo.

Is there any hope for me ?
